Located on the corner of 50th and Madison. Across the street from St. Patrick's Cathedral. Just a few steps from Saks 5th Ave. and Rockefeller Center. Close walking distance to Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, and Grand Central Station. It's the best place to stay if you're headed to New York City.
The hotel's restaurant "Gilt" is a Michelin 2 star fine dining option. I did not get a chance to eat there but a did spend time at the beautiful Gilt bar for great drinks and food. "Gossip Girl" was filmed there and they have an amazing courtyard that opens to a view of St. Patrick's Cathedral. This part of the hotel dates back to 1882 when it was a mansion. The architecture remains intact and you get the feeling of hanging out in a very cool living room.
Our room was lovely with a view of the Cathedral. I was fortunate enough to visit the Towers accommodations, as well as one of the tri-level suites. Decor of the rooms alternates between traditional and modern.
I also saw The Towers Club, located on the 39th floor and featuring spectacular views of St. Patrick's Cathedral and the New York City skyline. In the spacious 3,789-sq-ft lounge guests can relax and indulge in food offerings throughout the day, including breakfast, an afternoon presentation of small bites and sweets and evening cocktails and canapés. Guests who book Club rooms have access to this.
Had no problems or complaints, staff and service was top notch!
