Harry
Potter: "Can we find all this in London?"
Hagrid:
"If yeh know where to go."

After Harry
Potter’s adventure started at Number 4 Privet Drive, Hagrid took him straight
to London to get everything he need to start at Hogwarts, and you can follow in
his footsteps! The first thing every wizard needs is money, so why not head to
the Australian High
Commission--I mean Gringotts! The High Commission actually served as the
interiors for the famous wizard bank. Although the building is not open to the
public, you may just be able to sneak a peek through the doors.
Then, over to Leadenhall Market which was used as the setting Diagon Alley. Keep an eye out on
Charing Cross Road for what could possibly be the Leaky Cauldron. Watch out for
Death Eaters as you wander through Trafalgar
Square. Look for the visitors entrance to the Ministry of Magic across from
Great Scotland Yard. Make a tight squeeze past the Knight Bus on the Labeth
Bridge. Make sure to cross the Millennium
Bridge before the Death Eaters make it collapse!

Finally, arrive at King’s Cross Station for a
visit to platform 9 and ¾. It may not look exactly right because the exterior
of St. Pancras Station was actually used
for the exterior shots. For more Harry Potter goodies, check out Warner Brothers Studio Tour in March
2012 for all the behind-the-scenes magic of the films, including Dumbledore’s
office, Harry’s Nimbus 2000, Hagrid’s motorcycle, the Gryffindor common room,
and many other memorable sets from the series!
