New Zealand Recap

As we wrap up our summary of the fantastic New Zealand fam trip, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank those who made it possible.

Southern World.  Our host, Tim, was knowledgeable, charming, and adept at ferrying us to and fro on our whirlwind tour of New Zealand’s cities and countryside.  His knowledge of each destination and acquaintance of each hotel and lodge enriched our short time there.  Their team of Destination Specialists arrange and coordinate personalized experiences—like an overnight cruise in the Bay of Islands, encounters with endangered kiwi, heli-hiking in remote river valleys—things you wouldn’t even know to ask for.

Whether you travel independently, as part of a group, with a guide or driver, or just to experience a bit of New Zealand on a cruise ship shore excursion, it pays to use Southern World’s services to ensure you get the most out of your time there.

Air New Zealand.  In a world where air travel has become a necessary evil, a time to resign yourself to the indignities of trodding through the security line and steeling yourself against your seatmate’s invasive elbows, Air New Zealand has elevated itself to something to look forward to, rather than a set of unfortunate bookends.  We flew Business Premier, which was luxurious in every way,  but their Premium Economy and Economy options also strive to change the way you think about air travel, with innovative seating configurations, entertainment for the little ones, and concierge services and comfortable lounges in their international hubs.

Tourism New Zealand.  It’s a destination that everyone knows is scenic, thrilling, and remote, yet it’s the people that tie it all together.  They’ve recently re-branded their “100% Pure” marketing campaign to place more focus on personalized experiences in New Zealand as well as the friendly Kiwi culture you’re sure to encounter over there.  And truly, more than any gourmet meal, glass of wine, or fancy hotel, it was the people behind it all that made the trip memorable.  It was a pleasure to be in the company of people who are passionate about what they do, love the place they’re from, and are excited to share it with those who are just passing through.

Many thanks to all! Be on the lookout in the coming weeks for reports from the other FROSCH New Zealand fam group, who had the opportunity to experience Kauri Cliffs, Edenhouse, and Treetops Lodge & Estate
